Ministerial Staff

  • Dr. Mark Williams

    Senior Pastor

    Bro. Mark is a native of Shelbyville, Kentucky. In 2006, he graduated from Boyce College, a school of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2010, Bro. Mark completed his Master of Divinity degree at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and in 2020, he earned his Doctor of Ministry Degree at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Bro. Mark has pastored churches in Kentucky including Hawesville Baptist Church (Hawesville, KY), Southside Baptist Church (Princeton, KY), and Walnut Street Baptist Church (Louisville, KY). Bro. Mark was called as Pastor of Woodridge Baptist Church in November 2021. He resides in Mobile with his wife, Jessica, and their two children, Madelyn and Noah.

  • Danny Baxter

    Worship & Senior Adult Pastor

    Bro. Danny and his wife, Cindy, were both born and raised in Birmingham, AL. He earned his degree in Music Education from Samford University (’87) and his Masters in Religious Education / Administration from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (’90), in Ft. Worth, TX.

    Bro. Danny has served in ministry for over 40 years. He joined the staff of Woodridge Baptist Church in October of 2015 after serving churches in Alabama (Robinwood Baptist), Georgia (Sherwood Baptist), Arkansas (Geyer Springs 1st Baptist & Hot Springs Baptist) and Mississippi (Fairview Baptist).

    Bro. Danny and Cindy have been married for 43 years and have two daughters, Brittney and Bradey. Brittney is married to Clint, who served our country in the Navy for 10 years, now serving in the NAVY Reserves and working for a government contractor in Los Angeles, CA. Brittney and Clint are the parents of Hadley and Maverick. Bradey lives in Tampa, FL and is in the health insurance industry.

  • Kevin Castleberry

    Education & Young Adult Pastor

    Bro. Kevin gives leadership to our small group Bible Studies, called LifeGroups, along with a focus on our Young Adults. He also leads a focus on building the Men of Woodridge through various studies, events, and experiences. Bro. Kevin has served at Woodridge since 2016, after serving churches in Alabama and Louisiana for almost thirty years. He has a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of Mobile and has done doctoral work in Leadership from Denver Seminary. He and his wife, Janiece, served as Church Planter Missionaries with the North American Mission Board for a few years, and they have two grown sons.

  • Justin Perez

    College & FUSION Pastor

    Bro. Justin is a family man, with two daughters, three sons and a grandson. He has been married to his amazing wife, Jennifer, for over 20 years. Still holding a U.S.C.G. captain's license, he enjoys, every once in a while, driving towboats on the I.C.W. and Mobile River. Before serving on staff, Justin served as a youth pastor in Mobile, and served as The Mobile Baptist Association Representative of The Youth. Justin is studying his biblical doctrines at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary online.

  • Charlie Stallings

    Student Pastor

    Bro. Charlie grew up in Hurley, MS and married his high school sweetheart at the age of 17. He and Tracy have two children, Kaylee & Carson.

    Bro. Charlie joined the Woodridge staff in 2018. His life verse is Romans 5:8. He loves to preach and spend time with people. He is passionate about the Gospel, about remodeling houses, and about Auburn University! He has served in both Mississippi and Alabama in various pastoral roles. He has a Doctorate of Ministry from Newburgh Theological Seminary and a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Regent University.

  • Vicki Willis

    Children's & Women's Minister

    Mrs. Vicki has served in churches throughout Alabama for 23 years.  She joined the Woodridge Staff in November 2017.  She graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology.  She is married to Bo.  They have two grown children, a foster daughter, three grandsons & one granddaughter.  Vicki loves teaching children about Christ’s love and helping them grow in their relationship with the Lord.  Vicki also loves working closely with the women of the church and encouraging them to grow in their relationship with Christ.  She loves to plan outreach events, Bible studies, and provide mission opportunities for women & children.

Support Staff

  • Michael Garner, Jr.

    Media Director

    Michael Garner, Jr. manages the day-to-day computer and network operations for the church. Michael brings nearly 23 years of system operational experience and works to ensure all systems and network-related functions are in good working order to best support the pastors, staff, and membership at Woodridge Baptist Church. Michael also oversees our media outreach programs, such as the live broadcast of our weekly worship services.

  • Kassy Wooley

    Children's Choir Director

    Kassy and her husband, Sam, are both from Mobile where they have actively served together in various ministries throughout their thirty-two years of marriage. They have four wonderful children, a super son-in-law and one adorable grandson. Kassy received her degree in Music Education from the University of Mobile. She has been very active in the music community of Mobile serving as Director of the Gulf Coast Arts Academy, President of Mobile Music Teachers Association, Director of the MMTA Annual Sonata Contest, Assistant Director of the University of Mobile’s Summer Music Camps, performing with the Mobile Piano Ensemble, serving as accompanist in several local churches, leading children’s choirs and operating a private piano studio for almost thirty years.

  • Cindy Smith

    Ministry Assistant to Senior Pastor & Finance

    Cindy Smith started serving as the Financial Administrative Assistant at Woodridge in February of 1995.  In 2000 she became the Pastor’s Secretary and Financial Assistant.  She and her husband, Don, joined the Woodridge family in August of 1994.  Cindy has also served in Children’s LifeGroups and Extended Care at Woodridge.  Cindy and Don have been married for 44 years and have three children. Their son, Brian and his wife Marty Smith, have two children Cole and Hadley.  Their daughter Lindsay and her husband Matt Spence have three children Brittany, KJ (Kenneth) and Jackson.  And their daughter Haleigh and her husband Brent Vance have three children Tytus, Felicity and Genevieve. Cindy’s favorite scriptures are James 1:2-8 and Philippians 4:19.

  • Gail Zeigler

    Ministry Assistant to Education & Young Adult Pastor

    Gail began volunteering in October 1997 and came on staff in June 1998. Originally from Guntersville, Alabama, she graduated from the University of Alabama and has since lived in Huntsville, Birmingham, Atlanta, and Johannesburg, South Africa before settling in Mobile. Gail was saved at the age of 9 and was widowed in 2018. Because of a love for travel, she has visited 58 countries and all 50 states. Gail’s Life verse: Luke 1:37.

  • Holly Sims

    Ministry Assistant to Student & College Pastor, Children's & Women's Minister and Media Ministry

    Holly was born and raised in Metairie, LA. She earned her B.A. in History from the University of South Alabama. Holly has worked at Woodridge since August 2016. She has been married to Ben since 2007, and they have 3 daughters. She enjoys crafts, sewing and reading. Holly's favorite scripture is Matthew 5:13.

  • Emma hitt

    Ministry Assistant to Worship & Senior Adult Pastor

    Emma and her husband, Jimmy, have been members of Woodridge since 2022. Emma joined the Woodridge team in 2023.

  • Hannah MCCORMICK

    Nursery Coordinator

    Hannah has served on staff at Woodridge since December 2020. She is married to Dalton and loves working with all ages of children here at Woodridge. Hannah works with the Children’s Ministry to recruit volunteers to work with Babies through PreK on Sundays and Wednesdays.

  • Travis Duke


    Travis was born and raised in Mobile. He attended Tanner Williams Elementary School, Baker High School and is a graduate of Solid Rock Christian Academy.

    Travis and his wife, Catherine, have been members of Woodridge for 12 years and he has been part of our Maintenance Team for three years. Travis and Catherine have a total of seven children: Alexis, Riley, William, Jonathan, Alyssa, Lydia and Matthew. They also have two grandchildren, Shekinah and Shepherd. Travis has been on a mission trip to Brazil and counts it a privilege to serve at WBC.

  • David Jackson


    David has been a part of the Maintenance Team at Woodridge since October of 2016. He and his wife, Judy, are both Mobile, Alabama natives and have been married for 48 years. They have 2 children, Brandi and Christopher and 7 grandchildren. David and Judy have been members of Woodridge since May of 2002. David is a graduate of Theodore High School (Class of ’67) and Southwest State Technical School. He served in the Navy for 2 years active duty and 3 years active reserve. He worked at Evonik for 34 years in the I&E Maintenance Department and retired in November 2013.

  • Patty Peckham


    Patty is the supervisor of the housekeeping team and has been employed at Woodridge for 16 years. She is a native of Monticello, Missouri, and moved south to teach at Greystone Christian School where she met her husband Ricky. They have been married for 42 years and have 6 grown children and 8 grandchildren. Patty & Ricky homeschooled their children from 1989-2015.

  • Tracy Blanchard


    Tracy has been a part of the housekeeping team for 15 years. She is a native of Mobile and is married with three grown sons. Tracy is also a vital part of our preschool & children’s ministry as she teaches and cares for young ones at every church service or event.

  • RHea Wilkinson


    Rhea joined the Woodridge housekeeping team in December of 2023. She is a native of Mobile, Alabama. She has been a member of Woodridge since September of 2022. 

  • Marsha Stolz

    Master Gardener

    Marsha and her husband, Roy, and have been married for 56 years and have three children: Mary, Nancy and John. In addition, they have 5 grandchildren. Marsha was employed by the USA Health Care Systems for 35 years in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.  Of those years, 25 were served as the unit’s educator. She joined Woodridge Baptist Church in 1994.  She started working on the grounds and teaching Sunday School for 3rd grade in 1995. She served as director of Children’s Sunday School until she retired in 2020. Retirement allowed her to continue to teach, which was very important to her. 

    Since her parents were farmers, she learned early on how to grow plants.  This experience helped Marsha realize that she would need help with the 20 acres this church sits on.  She became a Master Gardener in 2005 which educated her beyond her farming knowledge growing up and personal yardwork. 

  • Rose Jordan

    Nursery Grandma

    Rose is a native of Mundelein, IL. She and her husband, Jim, have two daughters and two granddaughters. For over twenty years, Rose has been busy loving on all of our babies every time the church doors are open!

  • Celeste & Clayton Bailey

    Music Librarians

    Celeste was born in Eastland, TX. Her father was a Minister of Music, Education and Youth in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana. She graduated from Can Burn High School in Arkansas and attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. She met and married Rick in 1981. They have two sons, Clayton and Wes. In their 40 years of marriage, they have lived in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee and Alabama. The family joined Woodridge Baptist Church in 2005, then she, along with her husband and son, Clayton, joined the choir and orchestra. She is currently an assistant teacher in the 3rd Grade LifeGroup and serves on several teams for the church. Celeste enjoys riding bikes, hiking, reading books and cooking new recipes.
